Contest Entry

The prompt I chose is the self-portrait.

Obviously I do not have flaming gold eyes XD, but it represents determination or power. 
I guess, you could say, that this one can be interpreted as someone who is moving on, or at least that's what I had in mind. Her pasts are going away as a sign that she is moving forward to a brighter future, hence the light. Every pain, every kind of bad memory she has, she is letting them go, but not forgetting them, of course, because those kind of things in life makes us whole. The things behind her are the things she is letting go (to be carried by the wind, i guess?) and it means she is cleansing herself of her burdens so that she can continue on living peacefully.
OR
This image can be interpreted as something negative. She is wasting away, piece by piece, gradually. It's seems as if the hardships of her life had caused her to shut down. People can be strong, but they can only hold on for a limited time until something breaks them down. Now, it's up to the person to decide if they are going to rise back up again or fall apart. A part of her is crumbling away because she could not keep everything together and that her motivation is faltering. It relates to this quote, I suppose:

"People cry not because they're weak. It's because they've been strong for to long." -----Johnny Depp

People can take this any other way, after all, pictures speak a thousand words. This could mean one thing for someone and another thing for someone else. I just said what I had in mind above on how I interpreted it as I made it.
